Many new players, especially women, feel the best way to protect their hands from blisters is to play wearing two golf gloves. Some players think blisters go with the territory; are signs of how hard they are working to improve. Blisters and deep calluses are injuries caused by a tight or faulty grip, not over work. Everyday golf gloves are sold one to a package. Foul weather gloves are sold as pairs. Single gloves are worn on the top hand ( the left hand for right handed golfers) Gloves are meant to provide better contact with the club, not for protection. Golfers should avoid wearing a second glove to mask grip flaws. Golfers can best avoid damage to their hands by learning how to hold and swing the club properly. |
